Pesmel Storage Systems
Pesmel storage systems are essential part of the Material Flow How Concept. The systems are fully automated high bay storages with WMS Warehouse Management System. The storage is integrated to the mill process providing high performance and availability.
The load handling is done by telecopic fork or with deep lane system with Pesmel patented Transroll or Transpallet vehicle. WMS is controlling the material flows between different processes and optimizing the storage and logistical functions, which increases the total system capacity and decreases the operational costs.
Deep lane storage techology is the most rapidly crowing storage techic in paper and converting industry, where the rolls are stored to lanes by channel vehicle. Transroll system is very suitable for big storage volumes and high capacities.
Because today's high speed paper machines produce incredible number of rolls per hour, TransRoll systems are designed to handle almost any number of rolls during a cycle. The system can also be designed for sorting rolls and for smaller slitted rolls, even for handling the returned rolls from sheeting.
The technology has several benefits like higher capacity, less cranes and shorter driving distances. The system enables better usage of space by storing multiple amount of rolls in the same lane, thus more products can be stored to same sized area. Less steel is needed in racking, which means reduced cost level and more stable racking construction, which is important especially in earth quake areas.
